Message	Royal Purple Maxfilm penetrant and wrapped them in parchment paper for storing. I then placed the wrapped cams in foam piping insulation to protect them while stored. Any rust that may form on the bearing or lobe surfaces can be addressed with 00 or 0000 steel wool. I also used the steel wool on the bearing surfaces of the heads and cam caps to debur them before assembly. If removing your lifters, store them submerged in oil.
